Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme, With effect from the Academic year 2006-07, PM Narendra Modi had launched a scheme called the PM Scholarship Scheme for 12th pass students. This scheme seeks to give additional financial assistance to dependent wards of ex-servicemen and ex-coastguard members to pursue higher technical and professional studies.
In this scheme, male and female applicants each will receive Rs. 30,000 a year, while female applicants will receive Rs. 36,000 each year. The Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2022 will be offered to applicants for a period of 1 to 5 years, depending on the courses they are pursuing. Each applicant will be able to complete this form for only one course.

Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme Objectives:
The objective of the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme is to encourage the post-graduation and technical education for the wards and widows of the deceased/ex-service persons of Para Military Forces, Armed Forces, Protection Force.
Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme Apply Online 2025:
Candidates who are willing to apply for the PM Scholarship scheme must have to read the instructions before applying. Steps to apply online for the PM Scholarship scheme are as follows-
Step 1: Visit the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme official website
Step 2: Now click on the ‘Click here for news of PMSS application‘ button at the bottom of the homepage.
Step 3: After this, the Registration Form page will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Now fill in the essential details (such as your passport size photo, name, father name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar, and other information).
Step 5: Fill in the form with valid information and recheck all the information.
Step 6: After filling in all the information you have to click on the submit button.
Step 7: Then upload all the required documents.
Step 8: After applying, you will get the Registration Number. Take a printout of your application form for future use.

Step 2: Now click on the ‘Click here for renewal of PMSS application‘ button at the bottom of the homepage.
Step 3: Then click on the ‘Login‘ button.
Step 4: After this, the Login Form page will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Now, log in with the help of a username and password.
Step 6: After this, forward the application form and take a printout of the form for future use.

Step 3: Then click on the Option ‘Status of Application‘ button.
Step 4: The status of the Application form will be displayed on your screen.
Step 5: In this form, you have to enter the application form postal ID and verification code.
Step 6: After this, your application status will be displayed.
Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme Grievance Registration Process:

Step 3: Now select the ‘Post Grievance’ option from the ‘Grievance’ option in the menubar
Step 4: After this, the Post Grievance form page will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: In this form, fill in all the required information and submit the form.
PM Scholarship Scheme Grievance Tracking Process:

Step 3: Now select the ‘Track Grievance’ option from the ‘Grievance’ option in the menubar.
Step 4: After this, the Track Grievance page will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Now, enter the Grievance Number and the Verification code and click Search.
Step 6: Now, your grievance status will be displayed on your screen.
Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria:
- Individual must be a citizen of India
- Students who have taken admission in 1st year are only qualified to apply for PMSS
- Students who are dependent on Wards / Widows of Ex-Servicemen & Ex Coast Guard persons
- Students should have scored 60% and above in Minimum Educational Qualification i.e. 10+2 / Diploma / Graduation
- Students studying in 2nd or subsequent years are not eligible for the PMSS application
- Wards of Civilians and Para-Military Personnel are not eligible
Priority for selection of candidates for grant of scholarship:
Category 1 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel killed in action.
Category 2 Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in action and boarded out of service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard service.
Category 3 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel who died while in service for causes attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
Category 4 Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
Category 5 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel in receipt of gallantry awards.
Category 6 Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel (PBOR Only).
Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme Benefits:
- Under the Pradhan Mantri Scholarship scheme, about 5500 scholarships are being awarded annually
- Under this scheme Rs. 2,250/- will be given to the girls and Rs.2,000/- for boys per month is paid annually
- This price has now been increased to Rs.2,500/- per month for boys and Rs.3,000/- per month for girls

Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme Features:
The Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme was raised in 2006.
PM Scholarship scheme is funded by the National Defence Fund and administered by Prime Minister’s Office.
Scholarships are open for education at different technical organizations (medical, dental, veterinary, engineering, MBA, MCA, and other equivalent technical institutions having AICTE/UGC approval).
The scheme resettled from offline to online method with results from Academic Year 2016-17.
The scholarship payment is made through ECS into the bank account of the students.
This scholarship is only forwards of ex-members of the Army, Navy, or Air force.
